Isn't our jaw development determined by our genes?
Genetics is certainly a component of our development. However, while genetics does play a role, our rest oral posture, overall body posture, as well as our breathing and swallowing habits all play a very significant role in the development of our jaws, teeth and face. These are all factors each person can be aware of and influence their own development over a lifetime. Children ages 0-8 have the most potential for effecting a positive direction of their growth by focusing on the posture of their mouth and body.
